something in common with the squirrels
i am all about running myself ragged this month. my mom is enabling my yoga/belly dance mania with a birthday gift of a couple new classes. i’m thinking of taking a saturday morning undulations/tummy roll conditioning class that would immediately precede my morning yoga class. this would leave only sunday as the official Day Off from working out, as fridays i’m planning on dropping in on a couple of the techno belly classes because laura rose is great about shoulder, chest, and thigh work.
i got to see my niece yesterday, and she is still cranky but incredibly cute. her entire wardrobe and bassinet are pink. this also happened to my sister tanya when she was an infant, so i’m doing my own private study on the psychological effects of pink overload on my family members at various life stages.
artan thought he was going to the dog park yesterday but instead he ended up with a long car ride to a shrieking 2 year old instead. we’re trying to socialize artan to children so we gave him the most probable extreme: my nephew. gabriel’s favorite toy is a plastic fox he calls “dog” so whenever he sees artan it’s like super toy. i think he did have fun but it was a sort of a scary fun.
i’ve been loving these foggy mornings…i know they aren’t safe for driving but i like the spooky effect. i’m more of a cold-weather person so it’s fun to bundle up with a travel mug of coffee and creep down 99. i know a lot of people get grumbly about christmas decorations infringing upon thanksgiving but after the harvest moon it’s fair game to celebrate the yule season. now we just need a wreath hook for the door.
