balcony post

that was the first wet tahuya day we’ve had in a while. no boating but plenty of food & drinks & explosives. the sun came out (of course) as we were leaving, but it looks like it’s still going to be cloudy today so that makes me feel better in a misery-loves-company sort of way.

thanks to everyone who came out and joined us. we had so many fireworks, raindrops, & breads with various cheese sauces. molly & sam joined us this year for the fourth; providing the fire power. sam had my dad’s friend joe in a deep discussion about physics. here’s to my brother-in-english (major), digging out in advanced propulsion.

ben & erin sat through a soggy parade, booze in hand. we watched this lady collect all the candy we were all too unwilling to leave the umbrellas for.

it’s kind of cold here on the balcony, and maxwell is just a slight few too many inches away from my feet to provide my toes any warmth. i’m hoping jared will make the valiant morning trek for coffee & sustenance. clearly, i can’t go because someone has to stay here and guard this chair.

jared took some pictures over the holiday with his big glorious camera. i am sure they will be up shortly.
i was expecting a normal green pool table, but mom managed to find one that perfectly matched the decor of the rec room in color & wood grain. you have to hand it to the woman.

wait when did you say that? did i forget you said that? but regardless, like PMS, men are not allowed to diagnose that. i’m the only one who can point out how much i am like my mother.

the only exception being that i’m also allowed to point out how much my mother is turning into my grandmother.

i trimmed the site down quite a bit. i thought about putting more posts on a page, but i wanted to keep it cleaner. how many posts do you like to see on a page when you read it?

i just think it’s kind of irritating to have to click click click if you want to read past posts. i’d say maybe a week’s worth is ok? or since you don’t update every day, maybe 7 posts per page? i dunno. experiment or something.

i also think it’d be nicer if the author of the post was easier to see. but i dunno how much of this stuff you can edit.
