happy peter murphy day! to celebrate, please watch one of the greatest music videos of all time. possibly equal to but not a smidgen better than lullaby.

for reasons incomprehensible, the show tonight is at el corazon, the very same venue hosting a sublime tribute band just days before. from bauhaus to the worst venue in seattle (pour one out for graceland - RIP). at least i can expect intimate, sweaty detail - if the man does sweat…i will know.

i’m thinking i came across incorrectly: the venue formally known as the graceland is now “el corazon.” when the graceland turned into el corazon, i believe they lost their show promoter to neumos. then el corazon started showing a bunch of sub-par shows (see insane clown posse) enough to earn my distaste.

the venue itself used to be one of my favorite places, i’m sure you are well aware.

i’m hoping that they are starting to get better shows coming through. you can get really close to the stage and it’s open and sounds decent.
