sunshine & snapshots

my dad turned 51 on friday so we went out to tahuya and stayed the night. their sunroom is just about finished (except for flooring):

which will be excellent for tahuya day. dad’s plan is to put a guest futon, a dartboard, and a small bar in there.

since the weather is better today, we’re planning on making use of the clubhouse barbecue later this afternoon…this signifies our approval and acceptance of spring.

earlier this afternoon we took artan on a little excursion around fremont and bought him his first collar. maxwell got a new one too: with spikes! i tried to get a good picture of it but that’s going to have to come at a later time. when it’s sunny out maxwell just won’t hold still.

jared’s been taking more and more pictures, and friday he bought a better lens as well as a macro lens from someone advertising on craigslist. it was well worth the drive to bellingham to get them. he’s still learning but he’s getting better shots. he even took a few of me (with improvised lighting) in part of my costume for my act. my eyes are pretty dark behind the mask (like i said - improvised lighting and an inexperienced model) but i’m happy with them:

Aw, man! You’re going to have another get-together out there besides Tahuya Day this summer, right? Right?? I’ll supply the bucket of margarita if you supply the lawn chairs and parade.

Artan doesn’t look nearly as artarded as I remember–he’s growing up quick! I’ll be sending a cabin invite to you, Jrad and Artan for early June. Artan can stretch his legs on a little hike as the humans play photographer.
