static prevails
i regret to inform you that today i am letting static stop me.
i’m having a cotton skirt/tights situation that i am unable to control. i even rubbed a dryer sheet all over my legs but that didn’t work. i rummaged through my bathroom cabinet only to realize that i’m completely out of hairspray…i just can’t seem to macgyver myself out of this.
really, who expects to be bested by a stereotype situation? if it happens in commercials it can’t be real.
i blame the kitty. and here’s why:
this weather we’re having is fertile ground for static, but it doesn’t help that our kitty likes to roll around on our shag carpet in a writhing display of see-how-cute-i-am-just-try-to-touch-me.
he does this and at first he was surprised that he would shock himself when he would rub on our legs. seriously. all ears-back like it was our fault he got shocked.
but yet he keeps doing it. rolling around on the floor gathering watts. now he doesn’t even flinch at the popping sounds it makes when i pet him. you know what? i think he likes it. i think that kitty is getting his jollies from the zaps.
this is one of those side effects they don’t warn you about in pet-owners 101. electrostatic feline disorder.
