maybe not so awakingjonas

i came in to work at 4am this morning to be available during some maintenance but after i got here it was rescheduled. since i’m already here, there’s no point in going back home - and it’s not like i could get back to sleep anyway - so i get to take off in the afternoon and start my weekend.

i had tried to get to bed early enough to get a decent amount of rest but i didn’t sleep the night through. it actually wasn’t so bad getting up just before 3am, at least, not as i had expected. the weirdest part was walking through the condominium complex, feeling like i was the only creature on alive on planet earth.

this must be how the first 30 minutes of a zombie movie must feel.

as i was driving to work i was totally ready to see some crackheads and prostitutes through downtown but alas, just the same number of crackheads i see in the day time.

Do you and Jared go to the shows on your “Upcoming Shows” thingamajig? Should we see if we can get Stacey up for some Metric in October? Broken Social Scene is a SUPERBAND! (wiki it!) that is from Canada and they are coming down in October too. Stacey introduced me to BSS and we saw them play in Portland and they rocked the house. Emily Haines is actually in both Metric and Broken Social Scene, small world!

its kind of a wish list, although we are going to endfest this year (i haven’t been to endfest since high school) and we do have tickets to see ghostland in october.

i would love to see metric, i haven’t had the chance to see emily haines live yet.

emily is awesome. a lot of energy and super hot. i think chris and i saw metric together too? actually, i know we did, because that’s when we first saw islands and he bought the cd for me. (which i hope he has on his computer…) i’d love to come for both shows.. silly work.

but to actually comment what i was going to before i got distracted..

i had to go to work at 8 today and i thought i was going to die. well, it was ok until around 2 and then i hit a major wall. but then again, i tried to go to bed before midnight which left me tossing and turning and with about 4 hours of total sleep.

so i’m saying your crazy. 4 is bed time not awake time :P
