death cab and hexic
jared and i both took friday off work. i had just about had it with…having it…and figured it was time for a day off that didn’t involve illness or funerals or doctor’s appointments.
yesterday we started the loan process, and though we aren’t sure if we’re going to put an offer on one of the places we saw, it’s nice to know what we can manage and be prepared to pounce on whatever we do fall in love with.
since we did get so much done yesterday, this morning suffered from a task vacuum. our place is clean, our errands ran, and we’d slept through our motivational hours. after a bacon-infused breakfast (surprisingly well within my diet range) we kinda just did nothing. and then, realizing it was nice out, started fussing about what to actually do with a beautiful saturday.
this is what happens with a three day weekend. you can fall prey to overabundance: do something today? what? i’ve got three days to do something…i’ll do something later! until late afternoon cabin fever sets in and sunny day guilt starts to creep over the couch.
so after a fit of indecision, we went to golden gardens and sat on the beach in the perfect weather for approximately one hour. as we picked up and left, it started to rain.
just managed to squeak in a saturday!
right now i’m just sitting around in my storm trooper headphones just letting party shuffle do its thing. tomorrow it’s supposed to be crappy out so we’ll probably go outside and do something.
