death cab and hexic

jared and i both took friday off work. i had just about had it with…having it…and figured it was time for a day off that didn’t involve illness or funerals or doctor’s appointments.

yesterday we started the loan process, and though we aren’t sure if we’re going to put an offer on one of the places we saw, it’s nice to know what we can manage and be prepared to pounce on whatever we do fall in love with.

since we did get so much done yesterday, this morning suffered from a task vacuum. our place is clean, our errands ran, and we’d slept through our motivational hours. after a bacon-infused breakfast (surprisingly well within my diet range) we kinda just did nothing. and then, realizing it was nice out, started fussing about what to actually do with a beautiful saturday.

this is what happens with a three day weekend. you can fall prey to overabundance: do something today? what? i’ve got three days to do something…i’ll do something later! until late afternoon cabin fever sets in and sunny day guilt starts to creep over the couch.

so after a fit of indecision, we went to golden gardens and sat on the beach in the perfect weather for approximately one hour. as we picked up and left, it started to rain.

just managed to squeak in a saturday!

right now i’m just sitting around in my storm trooper headphones just letting party shuffle do its thing. tomorrow it’s supposed to be crappy out so we’ll probably go outside and do something.

Sounds like you two are being real smart about the home-buying process. My friends Marc and Sarah just bought a house up in South Everett, but they looked for a good three months all around Seattle before they settled on moving up north. If you want to get in contact with them, shoot me an email and I can forward it to them. They’ll also both be out at Lake Tapps if you and Jared aren’t looking at houses next weekend and want to hang out.

yeah it is a little bit difficult to find what we are looking for in a good neighborhood in seattle. we’ve been spending a lot of time looking around greenwood and so far have seen a couple that we’re considering.

this sunday we have to go out to tahuya for a birthday party, and saturday we were going to view a condo. what day are you going out there?

We’re planning on heading out Saturday and staying the night. Jeremy and Tanya (who will be out there for the weekend) live in Greenwood and might be able to help you out with neighborhoods as well. Being in a city where I know people is still not quite sinking in!

Shoot me an email if you guys want directions, you are welcome to stay the night (plenty of beds), or just make a pit stop on the way to Tahuya either Saturday or Sunday.

i got the email with your new cell phone number. i’ll talk to jared and we’ll see what our plans are.

and yeah…if your friends know of some great areas in greenwood that are cheaper but on the ascent that would be very helpful!
