it is not monday

today stacey and i both had grilled pear salads and apologized for old roommate things we did to each other that happened over 5 years ago (again). she bought me a shirt that has robots, hearts, and rockets on it and i validated her parking.

i am about ready to throw my earbuds into the bottomless pit. i want to be able to listen to music when i run but if i spend most of my time shoving them back into my ears it takes away from me being able to go faster. i really want to improve my time up the hill but i’m probably going to have to do it without my inspirational blasty music. that is no way to have a montage.

i have / had the same problem with my earbuds. its super annoying. its actually why i havent used them in like 2 years. i’m gonna take them to work tomorrow though. if blacking out medical info on produced documents is vigorous enough to knock them out the only thing left i can do at that point is save them to wear when im dead.

you hate the music itself when you are running or you hate having headphones on?

like…what? you want to hear the sounds of nature? i would like that too but instead i get to hear the whizzing of bicycles and the snorting of the people jogging around me

No,no. Just the music while Im running. Not a thing against headphones, although I can imagine how your sitaution would be annoying. Music seems to distract me while I run - I either go way to fast or slow as well a general aloofness to my surronding environment. I like to maintain a certain focus or concentration level … listening to my body, running with purpose and enjoying the sounds of nature as you call it.

Does it say more about your nerdiness or my naivety that I had to look that up?
