it doesn’t snow in seattle!

by the time we got home from work the beach was absolutely covered with no sign of it stopping. i jumped out of my work clothes and piled as many layers on as i could. we took our cameras out with us but the snow was coming so fast it was hard to get a good picture. i had to keep my nikon from getting too wet.

we walked a bit down the beach and hopped into the sand. only a few other people were out, all bundles and pink noses. it was hard to stop laughing the whole walk back to our apartment.?

personally, i want the snow to keep at it. i love white fluffy scenery…not to mention the possibility of a snow day tomorrow, however unlikely. it would be nice, a quick monday after a holiday followed by a snow day.

Ain’t it grand?! We’re loving it — now that we’re off those icy raods and home!

I can’t wait for the first snow of the season! It always makes me feel like a little kid.

I grew-up in San Antonio - it never snows there, either. But one year when I was seven years old, we had a freak snow storm. It was the thrill of my life! (And the first and only time I ever saw snow until I moved to Virginia for college.)
