the HPV vaccine

as suggested by kat, it wouldn’t be reasonable to talk about HPV without mention of the new vaccine that is available. i suppose i haven’t brought it us so far is that it was ruled out in my situation because of the cost and because it wouldn’t be quite as helpful against the strain i’d already contracted.

however, it could be very beneficial for women as added protection themselves against the two strains commonly known to cause cervical cancer and the two strains known to cause genital warts. so i did a little searching and came up with some helpful links i found regarding the HPV vaccine. but as always the web can only give you so much, PLEASE TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR if you are interested in the vaccine. and remember, the vaccine has only really been tested in mostly younger women. it also does not protect against all strains of HPV.

Wow; you’ve rounded-up an impressively comprehensive amount of information!

I heard about that vaccine awhile ago, but I didn’t know it was already available. Hopefully, our daughters will never have to worry about HPV. (Or a lot of other things, if only we could make come progress with the stem cell issue…)
